Well, Tuesday marked the beginning of a new school year in Chico. We officially now have a student in High School (boy am I feeling old) one in Jr. High School and 2 in Elementary School. I can't believe how fast this summer went. The morning started early, we dropped Zach (our big Freshman) off in front of PV High School, and the other kids laughed as I was trying not to cry as my son walked on to a huge campus full of mystery. Next we fought traffic around the high school before finally making it over to Bidwell Jr. High to drop Andrew off at his first day of 7th grade at much bigger school. (This was a tough morning on poor ol' mom). Our next stop was Sierra View where I was able to walk Jared to his class (5th grade) and Mollie to her first day as a big 1st grader. She will now be at school all day, no more half days. (Why won't the kids let us hold their hands and walk them into jr. high and high school? It sure would make me feel better to do that....). Everyone had butterflies in their tummies, including Mom. After school, as I gathered them one by one, it was great to hear everything went well and everyone is happy. A huge sigh of relief!
