I came home, and thought a little more about it, trying not to stress myself out. No, I am not usually one of you who start Christmas in July! I have to be in the mood, and it hasn't happened yet. I am still trying to process the fact that I have to work again! Yep, I'm a baby!
Anyway, why does it have to be that Christmas being close brings stress? It shouldn't! This is the most beautiful time of year, a time to celebrate the greatest birth, and celebrate all that Christ has given us. Oh, how I wish I were brave enough, to let go of the gift stuff, and just enjoy the season that it was meant to be. I hate being pressured to buy 5 gifts for one kid and trying to figure out what else to buy another because we all know they count gifts under the tree, right? I would love a Christmas, with family, friends and feeling the love of our Savior. Isn't that enough? Who wants another pair of ugly socks, or a bottle of cheap lotion? Serve others, and let that be the gift to yourself. It's the best kind! Where happiness can always be found!
Savor the Savior! Enjoy our family, friends, and the wonderful gift of the Gospel!
