"It doesn't go together......."
Mollie and her best friend Bailey have been trying to have a play date/ sleepover for some time. A couple weeks ago, Bailey and her family all had the stomach flu, so the date got pushed off a week. Then............sad to say, but mom had to change the date, due to LIFE! Yes, they were disappointed once again, but excited that we changed plans from a couple hour play date to a sleepover for the following Friday. This past week, Jared and Andrew got the stomach flu, so we once again have had to postpone this much anticipated date! Mollie's heart was crushed Friday morning as she heard me call Bailey's dad and explain that we didn't want Bailey over with sick kids. Mollie cried big tears, and was just feeling like her world was coming to an end. She went into Jared's room, where he was still sleeping and I overheard, "Jared, you threw up just because you knew Bailey was coming over." and out of the room she stomped. I was not happy, but had to scold her behavior while at the same time, trying not to laugh. KIDS! I asked her if she tried to be sick when the boys friend Garrison spent the night. Her girly reply was, "Yes, I was sick, sick of too many boys!" (Just stay that way for now Mollie, it's a safe attitude for a 7 year old!) She was then told to go get dressed for school, and about 20 minutes later came out, still crying and said she had nothing to wear! I went to her room, and showed her the skirt she laid out the night before. She looked at me with her sad face and said, "MOM, a sad girl and a skirt just don't go together!" My heart was broken for her, and once again had to stop my laughing. She was killing me! Oh my, she is only 7! What will it be like when she is 14?????? I think I'm in trouble............drama, emotions, etc.
