We ended our weekend Sunday with a great service in which we sang this beautiful song.
IN CHRIST ALONE
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song,
My cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My comforter, my all in all
Here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone, who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe,
This gift of love, and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save,
'Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied,
For ev'ry sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live.
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain.
Then, bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Brought with the precious blood of Christ.
No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the pow'r of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny,
No pow'r of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
'Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the pow'r of Christ I stand.

I LOVE that song!!! I am so glad you had the chance to go to the woman's retreat. It sounds like you had a wonderful, refreshing and encouraging time!
God bless,

John 3:16
I love this song also. Thank you for posting the words to it - they are such a wonderful reminder. (I'm an ex-mormon Christian also. Hang in there - God is great and will help us overcome all our challenges)
Dear Nancy,
What a precious testimony! I'm Chan Kuhn who used to post on MIT-talk until they limited it to former mormons only--I'm a never mo--but lived in a small mormon town in Eastern Arizona. I still have a few mormon friends whom I pray for and am still good friends with one family. I grieve a lot because they are very mormon and won't question.
I live in San Ramon, Ca--not a huge distance from Mt Herman--are you close. I've been attempting to start a support group for questioning or former mormons in this area. My email address is khakilu@gmail.com--or if you're really close call me at 925-560-9555. I'm good friends with many of the folks on MIT-talk.
Blessings,
Chan
