Time with Grandma Susan

As I mentioned earlier, the kids are each taking a turn visiting Grandma Susan in Folsom. Zach went first, having an awesome time of working for Grandma and being spoiled in return. Now that he is older and bigger, he is such a big help around the house. Grandma found that benefit also. Next Jared went for about 10 days and was again, spoiled rotten. He had fun going to the zoo, building birdhouses and just having some great bonding time with Grandma.

Andrew was the third to go, Grandma said she was happy to have a little shopper on her hands. Jared would rather sit in the car (even at 100 degrees outside), but Andrew you can't hardly pull out of the store. He is going to make his wife very happy. He's the type of man that will take his wife shopping and be happy to sit and give opinions about clothes as she tries them on. What a good guy he is.
Mollie is now there.......she was hesitant for a while, but I can tell she is having fun. Grandma taught her how to call home, so we get an update every few hours of what she is eating, where she is going, and how Grandma is spoiling her. It's fun to hear her little happy voice on the other end checking in to find out how we are, what time we got up, what we are doing etc. She is obviously needing to feel connected while she is away, unlike the boys. The first night with Grandma, Mollie ended up with Lily in the bath with her. She said it was the second best thing that had happened to her. When asked about the number one thing that has every happened to her, she said, "Oh, that's for when I get a horse." I laughed. Kids are so cute, I love being a mom.

Melissa gets to go once she turns 5, and let me tell you, she is so excited, she is already making plans of what to do at Grandma's house. She turns 5 in March, so I think I will have to send her right away, before the kids get out of school next summer so I can have 6 hours alone while everyone is gone! Just think of the projects I could get done......
