Happy Birthday Jared, Mollie, Nona and Uncle Nick!

It's been a busy week of birthdays at the Kaye home. Jared turned 10 on Wednesday, then Mollie followed on Thursday, turning 7! (Nona's b-day Monday, Uncle Nick, Friday- Happy Birthday to all!) Jared and Mollie have shared their "birthday" party since Mollie turned 1. This year they were determined to have 2 separate parties. But how do you get cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents and everyone together two nights in a row. They argued about what kinds of birthday to have, what to eat, what kind of dessert..........They wanted the same thing. So, we had another year of parting together. I guess eventually it will happen! We went to Opa and Grandma's house for a swim party on Friday evening. Wednesday, Jared wanted french toast for breakfast and then to take doughnuts into his class. For dinner he chose raviolis! YUM!

Thursday, Mollie chose to have cold cereal for breakfast (in her bed, although she was fully dressed and almost ready for school) and she took in pineapple upside down cake that she and Lonnie made the afternoon before. A big hit with the first graders! Thanks Lonnie! For dinner we were all grateful Mollie chose BBQ'd ribs. Happy tummies! Over all, both kids had good birthdays and even enjoyed their combined party on Friday! Happy Birthday Jared, Mollie, Nona and Uncle Nick.

Everyone smiles at parties!

Jared enjoys his breakfast "in bed" while in the living room recliner. He decided it was too lonely in his room!

Mollie eating her cereal (what an original idea for her special breakfast) in bed! A special treat!

Mollie's doll, Kassie also had a birthday this week. Mollie made her her own set of scriptures. How sweet is that?

Wish we were there to celebrate. They are so big. I think one of the first things we did in Chico was Andrew's birthday party. WOW!
Miss you,
